Sergiology
by Tony Le Duc

Tony Le Duc (1961) is a pioneer. Just like a painter he fills his frame with a thoughtful composition of the subject. He plays with the texture and structure of ingredients, so that their visual qualities are best exposed. Each picture is carefully considered beforehand.
One of his well-known techniques is the ‘levitation technique’. Ingredients are presented at different levels. The final image shows the dish in sharp focus and with a tremendous depth of layers. The compositions seem to float in space.
