FOOD PHOTO GALLERY
At Food Inspiration we love beautiful pictures. Why? Simple. "Because a picture is worth a thousand words".
In this last edition of 2011 we take you through the Food Photo Gallery. We show you the work of a number of leading international Food Photographers, some of who exhibited at Food Photo Festival in Tarragona, Spain last September.
Their passion? To capture taste and texture, passion and skill, origin and purity. But not in the standard way. Although the magazine shelf may be filled with food magazines, only a handful of photographers truly master the art of food photography. Only if an image burns your retina and leaves a permanent memory, you can call it art.
Günter Beer, director of the Food Photo Festival, said: "The festival aims to honor and promote artistic diversity and creative energy within food photography. Professionals consider food photography as one of the most difficult specialties to master. In spite of this, the best in our field are usually unknown to the general public. The Food Photo Festival aims to get them out of the shadows and into the spotlight.
