For Food Inspiration Rahi Rezvani made a series of portraits called Heaven & Earth. A series that honours the masterpieces of mother nature. It is a series with a double layer. Due to the chosen of photography the men and women seem to be modeling for a medieval portrait, and the real masterpieces of mother nature are at first glance only props. The natural product seems a minor detail, but once it catches your eye, it does not let go. That is the sign of a true artist.

Rahi Rezvani (1978) studied at the Art Academy in Tehran and later in The Hague. His graduation project, the filmography ‘Retreat to Nowhere’, was exhibited at the Photo Festival Naarden and published in Eyemazing. He works for Dutch Dance Theatre, NRC Next, the Art Gallery and the Amsterdam Fashion Week. His work is of outstanding quality. The images burn your retinas. He puts you on the wrong track, and only after watching a few times the full depth of the photo will penetrate your mind. Every detail - every pixel - is well chosen. He brings photography to the level of fine art. His specialty: people, portraits.
