The pictures in this series all come from an as yet to be published book about restaurant Le Rouge. A bistrostyle restaurant with a French cuisine, located in Stockholm. The pictures are taken in close collaboration with food stylist Linda Lundgren and chef Marco Baudone.
With this photo series Roland Persson won the ‘Food Photo 2011’ at the Food Photo Festival in Tarragona.

Le Rouge

Roland Persson was born and raised in a small village in the south of Sweden. After highschool he studied at the RIT School of Photographis Arts & Science in Rochester New York for two years, after which he returned to Sweden and moved to Stockholm. There he spent a couple of years as an assistant to several different photographers before he started his own studio in 1989.
As every starting professional photographer does, he began by doing all kinds of assignments. He did not start photographing food until around 10 years ago. Now he works as an advertising photographer and is featured in cookbooks. His work is characterised by food & interior stills.
